MLC SUPPORTING POLISH AIR FORCE DAY COMMEMORATION
The weekend of 26-28 August 2016 was a very special time for Polish aviation. It was then that people serving at the Polish Air Forces, along with those who admire and support them gathered at one place, and this place was Poznań-Krzesiny Air Base.
There were at least two good reasons to meet. The first one was the 10th anniversary of the F-16 supersonic fighter aircraft’s incorporation into the Polish Air Force. It was coupled with Polish Air Force Day Commemoration in Poland. And, at the same time, it was the feast day of Poznań-Krzesiny 31st Tactical Air Base, which was the setting of some of events of all three occasions.
The festival days were filled with numerous events of various character. There was time for seriousness and reverie, for glory and feeling proud, but also for fun and cheerful activities. All these with the Air Forces in mind and in the background. The program of celebrations encompassed, among others, a scientific conference “Aviation for defense”, an exhibition of photographs inspired by the beauty of form of F-16 aircraft, Jubilee Gala held at the Auditorium of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, concerts of military orchestras, as well as Air Picnic at the 31st Tactical Air Base Poznań-Krzesiny.
MEGMAR L&C was among the supporters of the event (as a partner), along with the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda (who took honorary auspices of celebrations). Mariusz Maślarz, President of MLC, together with several of the company’s employees took part in some of the festival events held in Poznań and in the nearby Krzesiny. The very special time, that may well be called The Festival of Polish Aviation, will be long remembered.
