Megmar at the Navy Day celebrations

Representatives of Megmar L&C, at the invitation of the Commander General of the Polish Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Marek Sokołowski, and the Inspector of the Polish Navy, Vice Admiral Jarosław Ziemiański, participated in the celebration of the Navy Day, which took place on 30 June 2024 in Gdynia. The event began at 11.00 a.m. at Kościuszko Square where it was planned to hold a flower laying ceremony in front of the Polish Maritime Monument, a solemn roll call in front of the museum ship ORP ‘Błyskawica’, a parade, a parade drill show, a visit to the ships and the launching of the festive salute consisting of 21 cannon shots. Guests also had the opportunity to have a close look at military equipment and take part in a naval picnic and banquet. The programme did not lack dynamic military demonstrations performed by the assault group of the Formosa Military Unit and the Support Ship Squadron. Megmar’s presence at the event underlines its commitment and support for the Polish Navy and Gdynia’s maritime tradition. After the ceremonies on ORP Blyskawica, we had the honour of attending the Naval Generations Meeting in the company of the senior officers of the Polish Navy.
