FRENSOR – ACTIVE FREEZING POINT MONITORING SYSTEM
Frensor, as an active freezing point monitoring system, heats and cools down the liquid from the runway or roadway – to determine the exact freezing point, irrespective of the fluid composition (the deicing agent and other contaminants). This allows the precise determination of time and place where the de-icing measures should be applied. Using this system, one can reduce the need for de-icing formulations by up to 30%!
Frensor is a patented solution, designed to determine the exact freezing on roadways and runways.
During frost infrastructure de-icing is crucial for safety. Regardless of the de-icing means used, over time they get watered down and there is a need for re-use.
Because – in order to avoid security risks – re-application is usually made sooner than later, this results in excessive wear of expensive and environmentally unfriendly de-icing substances.
FRENSOR – THE COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION
The ASFT company is the only company that offers Frensor in the fixed, mobile and portable versions. The basic functions of each version are the same, the difference is in the way of use and presentation of the measurement’s results.
Using the mobile version of Frensor system it is possible to perform the mapping of the freezing point of the whole operating area. The result, in the form of a map, presents the freezing temperature and the surface temperature of the study area. This data can then be used to determine the amount of de-icing agents which must be used on particular sections of public roads and runways.
Using the fixed version of Frensor system, you can get the data shown in the graph illustrating changes over time in surface temperature and freezing. This information is used to assess when to use de-icing agents, or, what’s more interesting, when there is no such a need, due to the adequate protection of the runway.
Portable version of Frensor, called FBoX, is the autonomic system of detecting freezing temperature, used to manually collect and analyze data at any place.
