MEGMAR L&C Partner of Air Force Ball
The 22 nd Airmen and Polish Defense Corps Ball held in the banquet halls of National Stadium in Warsaw on 25th February was organized by Aviation Agency ALTAIR Ltd. with the support of Armed Forces Branches General Command, Polish Aero Club, the National Aviation Council, the Foundation of People of Aviation and the Polish Aviation Museum.
The Ball was held to gather the leaders of the Polish Aviation and Defence Communities consisted of aviators, soldiers, as well as representatives of industry, military and both sport and commercial aviation. In that noble group there were also representatives of MEGMAR L&C. In 2017 our company, with immense pride and satisfaction, served as a partner of the Ball as in previous years.
The splendour to the event was added by the appearance of the maker of “303 Squadron”,
a film which tells the story of heroic Polish airmen who fought against Germany during the Battle of Britain in WW2. There were also producers and actors present.
The Ball began with mentioning Zygmunt Mogiła-Lisowski (b. 1928 November, d. July 2016), the soldier of the Polish Underground State, Deputy of the Sejm of the Third Republic of Poland, patriot, co-organizer of the Airmen Balls from the very beginning. All gathered paid tribute to him with a moment of silence.
An important point of the Ball was a charity auction in which we participated actively.
We managed to bid for the Anaconda 2016 flag with autographs including the one of
the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej DUDA, a drawing of the DHV-2BEAVER seaplane and the original British WW II aeronautical chart. These prizes were exposed in the premises of our company.
