AVIATORS BALL: MLC AMONG MAIN PARTNERS

It was for the 21st time that the leaders of Polish aerospace and defense communities met at the Aviators and Polish Defence Ball. The event was held on 6 February 2016 in banquet halls of Legia Warsaw Stadium at 3 Łazienkowska Street in Warsaw. The organizer of the project was ALTAIR Aviation Agency, with the support granted by, among others, General Command of The Armed Forces, the National Council of Aviation, and the Polish Aviation Museum.

MEGMAR representatives certainly could not be missing in this noble group. In 2016, our company had the pleasure and satisfaction to act as a Main Partner of the ball. It was a great honour for us to take part in the charity auction held during the event. We were able to place a winning bid for the impressive feather graphics presenting SU-22 aircraft, and thus support the Foundation for People of Aviation and the representatives of aero-defense community being in need.

A major point of the event was a solemn ceremony of presenting awards to the Golden Ten of Polish airmen. Ms. Elżbieta Maślarz, Vice President of MEGMAR L&C, had the honour to present one of the statuettes awarded in this contest, to the winner of the 6th place. The award went to the hands of Łukasz Wójcik, European Champion in Gliding, Open Class. Mr. Wójcik indeed represents the Aero Club of Włocławek, but – just like MEGMAR L&C – comes from from Kutno; he lives and works in our hometown.

The event was also graced by a fireworks display, which was truly impressive. An interesting element of the ball’s setting were two gliders and a balloon placed on the turf of the Legia Warsaw Stadium and admired by the guests from the very beginning of the event. Later on, there was a lot of fun and excitement, too: we had a great time, see you next year!
